Titanium Tribromide Hexahydrate, TiBr3.6H2O
Titanium Tribromide Hexahydrate, TiBr3.6H2O, separates in violet crystals when a solution of the tetrabromide is reduced electrolytically, and the solution is then saturated with hydrogen bromide. It is less stable than the corresponding chloride, and deliquesces in the air, forming a brown, fuming liquid.
